The Jewish Association for Residential
Care will celebrate the dedication of its
19th home, the Evelyn and Salman
Grand Home in West Bloomfield, 1-3
p.m. Sunday, June 24.
The purchase of the large ranch-style
home was made possible through a gift
to JARC from Nancy and Stephen
Grand. Six men live in the Grand
Home.
Rabbi Marla Hornsten of Temple
Israel will officiate at the ceremony at 2

The Jewish Community Center in Oak
Park will host seniors on a tour of
Meadow Brook Hall on Tuesday, June
26.
The bus will leave the JPM at 8:45
a.m. and return at 12:30 p.m.
A $2 deposit is required; it is refund-
able the day of the trip. No-shows will
not be refunded.
There is no charge for the museum
tour or for transportation. The tour
involves a lot of walking.
The trip is being funded by Alvin
and Henrietta Weisberg and family. For

Children's Rights
A hands-on exhibit, "Treasuring the
Future-Children's Rights and realities,"
will make its only stop in Michigan
June 16-24 at the International
Institute of Detroit, 111 E. Kirby.
Among the exhibit's co-sponsors is the
West Bloomfield-based Holocaust
Memorial Center.
Designed and created by the Soka
Gakkai International Youth Peace
Conference to celebrate the 50th
anniversary of the United Nations
Children's Fund, the exhibit was
inspired by the United Nations docu-
ment "Convention on the Rights of •
the Child."
The free exhibit is open to the pub-
lic 1-5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Monday-Saturday. A list of scheduled
activities for children and adults dur-
