Victor Begg

Both of our faith communities, Muslim and Jewish, share common values about public
education, We believe that our children are precious, and that their education is essential to our
collective future. We need to see that all students can thrive in school, and that our schools in
Bloomfield Hills continue to meet or exceed our high community standards. We will work
to ensure that our district lives its core values for students, by maintaining a physically,
emotionally and intellectually safe learning environment; preserving choices for all kids; and
guiding our students toward finding purpose and meaning in their learning and their lives.

Together we represent a background of many kinds of community involvement, as well as a
blend of wisdom gained from board experience and a new, fresh perspective. If we are elected, we
will continue to find new ways to build community within our schools, strengthening the bonds
that already exist among our diverse student population. We will also strive to involve the greater
community in the- successes of our young people. We hope you will choose us to serve the
Bloomfield Hills School Community. Be sure to use both of your votes on election day —
Monday, June 11th, 2001.

Sincerely,

Victor Begg
