The Jewish Association for
Residential Care will hold its annu-
al meeting and election of officers
7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the

nated to serve as president for a sec- .
ond term. Dr. Al Condeluci will be
guest speaker at the free event. He
will speak on building an inclusive
community from the inside out in
his speech "Where Everybody
Knows- My Name and They're
Always Glad I Came."
_ Since 1975, Condeluci has
emerged as a national leader for
building inclusive communities.. His
books —Independence Beyond
Difference and The Essence of
Interdependence — explore culture
and community. Condeluci lives on
the family homestead, Condeluci
Hill. Settled in 1917 by his grand-
father and further developed by rel-
atives, it is home to 15 families.
JARC is a Farmington Hills-based
agency that serves adults and c il-
dren with developmental disabilities
and their families.

MJC Plans
Anniversary Event

The 10th anniversary of the
Michigan Jewish Conference will be
celebrated noon-2 p.m. Wednesday,
June 13, in the Mackinac Room of
the Anderson House Office
Building in Lansing.
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit Chief Executive Officer
Robert Aronson will offer his reflec-
tions on the MJC during the pro-
gram, which will include a histori-
cal perspective on the Conference's
accomplishments. The celebration
will honor MJC leadership for its
contributions to the Conference
during its first decade.
The anniversary commemoration
will include an advocacy program
"Making the Connection," for pro-
fessional and lay leadership of
Jewish social service agencies, to be
held from 9:15-11:45 a.m.
