WERNER LIEPMAN, 88, of
Kalamazoo, died May 8. During
World War II, he served in the U.S.
Air Force and flew many missions over
the Himalayas. He • vas schooled and
trained overseas and became the owner
of three retail clothing stores in
Michigan: Werner's in Hastings,
Cinderella Shop in Paw Paw and
Fashion Fair in Kalamazoo. He was a
member of Congregation of Moses.
Mr. Liepman is survived by his wife,
Ruth S. (Aleinik) Liepman; children,
Drs. Michael and Marcia Liepman of
Kalamazoo, Alice and Steven Lepsetz
of West Bloomfield; grandchildren,
Neal Lepsetz, David and Aaron
Leipman of Ann Arbor, Rachel
Liepman of Kalamazoo, Deborah
Lepsetz of West Bloomfield; sister,
Lotte Wolf of New York City.
Services at Langeland Family Funeral
Homes. Interment in Jewish Riverside
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to the Kalamazoo Foundation.

SADIE PESICK of Southfield died May
22. She was a devoted member of
Congregation B'nai David for 35 years
and was active in its sisterhood. She was
also a life member of the Jewish
National Fund, life member of the
Jewish War Veterans Charles Shapiro
Auxiliary, life member of the National
Council of Jewish Women, member of
the Jewish Home and Aging Services,
B'nai David Pace-Setters and the D.A.V.
Mrs. Pesick was involved in volunteer
work for the past 45 years, most current-
ly as a teacher's aide at Jewish Vocational
service. She was also a volunteer at the
pediatric ward of Mt. Carmel Hospital
in Detroit and in-patient relations for
oncology at Grace Hospital. She acted as
a nurse's aide at Florence Crittenton
Hospital in Detroit.
Mrs. Pesick is survived by her daugh-
ter and sojn-in-law, Reesa and Morris
Potach of Birmingham; grandchildren,
Katherine and Jacqueline Potash, hieces
and nephews. She was the beloved wife
of the late Bernard Pesick; dear sister of
the late Elizabeth Slotnikov, the late
Rebecca Slotnikov, the late Sophie
Slotnikov and the late Alvin Slotin.
Contributions may be made to any of
the organizations Mrs. Pesick was associ-
ated with or to a charity of one's choice.
Interment at Hebrew Memorial Park.
