THE WEDDING DETAILS

PHOTOGRAPHER: Chris Guillen,

Forest Park, Ill.
"Photojournalism is what I do for
a living and I stuck to my instincts
by using black and white photo-
graphs.
"I did not want to hire my corn-
petition, so I asked a business asso-
ciate for an out-of-town referral."

EVENT PLANNER & FLORIST: Darin

Asselin of Bootsie, Winkie & Miss
Maude's, Rochester.
"I met Darin in September of
1999 at a wedding I photographed
in Metamora. I was impressed with
the creative ideas he incorporated
into the tented, farm estate wed-
ding. Darrin worked on just about
everything — floral design, wed-
ding programs, china, crystal and
flatware, etc."

WEDDING CAKE: Home Bakery,

Rochester.
"Our cake was white batter with
buttercream frosting. The cake
design with vining matched our
table linens."

INVITATIONS: Lee's Specialty,

Bloomfield Hills.
"Our invitation was ecru hand-
made Italian paper with a deckled
edge."

WEDDING DRESS: Roma Sposa,

Birmingham.

"The designer was Peter Langer
from Italy. The strapless dress with
subtle beading on the bodice had
ball gown length with tulle under-
neath. I wore a pearl bracelet that
was re-strung and given to me from
the Winemans. The pearls
belonged to Hank's grandmother. I
carried my bubbie's beaded purse
and wore sapphire and diamond
earrings that Hank purchased at
Legacy Jewelry in Franklin."

MAKE-UP: Hannan and Marel of

Hannan Cosmetics, Emile's Salon,
Southfield.

HAIR: Lance, Red Salon,

Birmingham. Kate, Tarro Salon,
Bloomfield Hills.

BAND: Mel Ball and Colours,

Farmington Hills.
"It was a great high-energy party
that lasted into the wee hours,"
said Ball.

BRIDESMAID DRESSES: Cinderella's

Castle, West Bloomfield.
"We worked with owners Linda
and Rob Goudsmit. The girls got to
choose between three tops in black
velvet and three satin cream skirts."

WEDDING VIDEO: Newman Video

Inc., Farmington Hills.
"David worked with us prior to
our wedding to make a tape for our
rehearsal dinner."
