h the month of June! June's a time for cel-
ebration: graduations, weddings, Father's
Day and just plain old "thank goodness it's
summer."
While lots of brides choose a June wedding date,
the most talked-about nuptials in recent months took
place last September at The Ritz-Carlton. It was the
breathtakingly beautiful wedding of Heidi Katzman
and Hank Wineman. For those of us who have longed
to peek in on the event, Heidi and Hank graciously
shared snapshots of their special day. We think you'll
agree, the photographs would be right at home in
Town & Country magazine.
Speaking of gorgeous settings, Doreen Hermelin
opened her spectac-
ular home and gar-
dens to symphony
patrons for "An
Evening with Itzhak
Perlman." In addi-
tion to rubbing
elbows with the
maestro, guests were
treated to a gourmet
kosher dinner buffet
and, my favorite,
individual silver
spoons holding bite-
size appetizers.
Perlman captivated
his audience with
his sense of humor
and easygoing con-
versation.

national makeup artist Joseph Costa. Our model,
Lindsay Blau Rubin of Birmingham, went from fresh-
faced to glowing with Costa's application of fuchsia
