Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit
spent a half day in mid-May Meaning up and
planting in a Detroit park.
Elisabeth Gordon Sachs Park on East Jefferson, east of the
Renaissance Center, honors one of the co-founders of
Greening of Detroit Inc., which has planted thousands of
trees in the city since it was founded 10 years ago.
A number of Jewish groups have scheduled volunteer time
to complete the new park. •
