DR. LEONARD ROSENZWEIG,

97, of Grand Rapids, died May 18.
He was born in Manchester,
England. His family came to the
United States and settled in Detroit.
He attended Cass Technical High
School and graduated from the
University of Michigan Medical
School in 1929:
Dr. Rosenzweig was engaged in th
study and practice of psychiatry for
most of his career, from 1930 until
his retirement in 1991. He spent fly
years as superintendent of
Pennsylvania's Warren State Hospital
and as superintendent of the
Dixmont State Hospital in
Pittsburgh.
In 1946, he moved to Grand
Rapids to take a position as the
director of Grand Valley Child
Guidance Clinic. He later establishe
a private practice in Grand Rapids
and was often a forensic witness for
court work dealing with psychiatric
issues.
