of Parma, died May 17. He was a
quality insurance inspector and in the
Air Force from 1992-96.
Mr. Basore is survived by his wife,
Cheri Basore; sons, Andrew Basore,

Basore; mother, Sue Basore of East
Jackson; father, Robert Basore of
Horton; brothers, Charles Basore of

RANDALL I. BERMAN, 88, of
Farmington Hills, died May 14. He
was a self-employed jeweler, owner of
Randall I. Berman in Manhattan.
Mr. Berman is survived by his sons
and daughter-in-law, Neal Berman of
New York, Robert and Sharon Berman
of Farmington Hills; sister and broth-
er-in-law, Leslie and Fred Mintz of
New York; grandchildren, Koby and
Andy Berman, Andrew and Michael
Mintz. He was the beloved husband of
the late Marcelle Berman.
Interment in New York.

SIDNEY BRODIE, 80, of Oak Park,
died May 20.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Millie Brodie; daughters and son-in-
law, Caryn and Richard Jaeger of
Farmington Hills, Laurie Green of

in-law, Sigmund and Shirley Brodie of
Oak Park; grandson, Alan Burk. He
was the dear brother of the late Ben
Brodie.

York, died May 14.
She is survived by her nephew and
nieces, Herbert Seymour Ekelman of
Oak Park, Noreen and Howard Atlas
of Seattle, Wash., Gloria Lefkowitz of
West Bloomfield; great-nephews and
great-nieces. She was the loving
daughter of the late Max Ekelman and
the late Dora Ekelman; loving sister of
the late Mannie Ekelman, the late
Dorothy Ekelman.

ters, Eva Sigler of Oak Park, Irene
Schecter of Israel; grandchildren, Gary
Friedmann, Michael Friedmann. She
was the beloved wife of the late Alex
Friedmann.

NATHAN GOLD, 84, of Lauderhill,
Fla., died May 22. He saw active duty
in Casino, Italy. He then pursued an
active career with METLIFE, writing
policies for less affluent families, pro-
viding financial security in times of
need. Mr. Gold had a strong love of
theater and music and would often
skip school to attend opera and long-
run shows; he was an usher while in
high school and was a Detroit
Symphony Orchestra season ticket
holder for over 60 years. He devoted
himself to family and friends and pre-
pared shows for many old age homes
in the Lauderhill area.
He is survived by his son and
