Tani Shtull-Leber became bar mitz-
vah on Saturday, April 21, at Beth
Israel Congregatio•1 in Ann Arbor.
He is the son of Steve Leber and
Dina Shtull-Leber and the brother
of Ilanit and Leor
Shtull-Leber. His
grandparents are
Rabbi Jacob and
Rita Shtull and
Sam and Pauline
Leber, all of
Cleveland.
Tani is an honor
student in both
Hebrew and English at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills and is a graduate
of the Hebrew Day School of Ann
Arbor. He plays clarinet, ran cross
country at Hillel, loves to downhill
and water ski and enjoys creative
arts. He also volunteered at the
Jewish Association for Residential
Care.

Ashley Elizabeth Statfield will cele-
brate her bat mitzvah on Saturday,
May 19, at the Jewish Community
Center in West Bloomfield. She has
been attending the
Jewish Parents
Institute program
for the past six
years. Ashley is the
daughter of Leslee
and Terry Statfield,
sister of Stefanee
and Melanee,
granddaughter of
Celia and Fred Goldberg, Marilyn
Freedland, Murray Statfield and
great-granddaughter of Gussie
Bresler.
Ashley attends Abbott Middle
School in West Bloomfield. Her
favorite hobby is playing piano,
which she has been doing for seven
years. She plays violin in her spare
time as well. She loves to get togeth-
er with friends and participate in
music events.
Ashley's focus this past year has
been on community service, which
included working at Danto Family
Health Care Center on game night.
