In Memoriam

very once in a while, someone
comes along who grows into leader-
ship with a humbleness about them
that makes an instant, indelible connection.
Rabbi Yitschak Meir Kagan was such a
person.
The associate director of the Lubavitch
Foundation of Michigan died in a car
wreck Sunday in New York City after doing
Rabbi Kagan
what gave him special joy — sharing
Torah's wisdom with others thirsting to learn
and visiting the gravesite of the beloved Lubavitcher Rebbe,
Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
On page 132, Staff Writer Shelli Liebman Dorfman
remembers Rabbi Kagan, who stood tall in Detroit Jewry.
