Kaplan has been active in forensics,
Humanitarian Club, National and
Michigan math leagues, Junior Board,
National Honor Society and DECA. She
is a National Merit commended student,
AP Scholar and won Delphi Glass art
competition, member of BBYO and
Shaarey Zedek Hebrew High. She will
attend University of Michigan.

Beth Jacob
Katz is Phi Betta Kappa and co-manager
of ad publishing for yearbook. As one of
the founding members of the Friendship
Circle, she has worked with special needs
children for seven years. She will attend
Maalot Baltimore in the fall and then
Oakland University.
SARA KOENIG
Ann Arbor Huron
Koenig sang with the A Cappella and
Chamber choirs, performing in Vienna
and at the Michigan Youth Arts Festival,
was active in drama, softball, YMCA
Youth Volunteer Corps, Temple Beth
Emeth Interfaith Hospitality Network
and Mitzvah Day Choir. She is a
National Merit finalist and will attend
Yale University.

Kamil played football four years and is a
member of National Honor Society. He
was bar mitzvah and confirmed at Temple
Israel. He will attend the University of
Michigan.
Kaplan is active in Temple Israel Youth
Group, involved with Service Learning,
volunteered at Temple Israel, JARC and
the Pontiac Shelter, and was a state and
national DECA qualifier. She will attend
the University of Michigan.
Kirsch is a member of National Honor
Society, Future Problem Solving, Patterns,
secretary of Interact, plays clarinet in
marching band and symphony. She has
been orechet in her B'nai Brith Girls chap-
ter and is salutatorian of her graduating
class. She will attend the University of
Michigan College of Engineering.
Kohlenberg is a member of student gov-
ernment, soccer, basketball and baseball,
editor of yearbook, reporter for Tuna
Talk newspaper and Gleaners Food
Bank volunteer. He will attend the
Residential College at the University of
Michigan.

Karmel is co-captain of tennis and debate
teams, is senior class co-historian and
National Honor Society co-president. He
won Temple Israel's 1998 Somlyo Essay
Award for writings on Israel. He will
attend the Wharton School of Business at
the University of Pennsylvania.
Knoppow is involved in environmental
club, literary magazine, Spanish club
and was producer of the Harrison One
Act Play Festival. She will study at the
Department of Natural Resources and
the Environment at the University of
Michigan.
Kwitney is active in National Honor
Society, International Thespians
Society, B'nai B'rith Youth
Organization and its Teen Mission to
Israel, tennis, track and band. She will
attend the University of Michigan.

Kaminsky has been on the swimming
and soccer teams, is president of National
Honor Society, member of Scholars Plus,
Generation of Promise, Phi Beta Kappa,
and class board. She earned Wade Mcree,
MEAP and Arab-Jewish Friends essay
scholarships and will study pre-medicine
at the University of Michigan.
