She attends Adat Shalom high school program, is president of Shoshanna BBG, and volunteers at Karmanos Cancer Institute. She will attend the University of Michigan. GINA ACCIAIOLI Walled Lake Western BARBARA APPLEBAUM Berkley Acciaioli is a member of National Honor Society and choir, treasurer of French club, captain of tennis, student council volunteer, programming vice president of Temple Shir Shalom youth group and Sunday school teacher. She will attend Michigan State University. JEFFREY ACKERMAN West Bloomfield Ackerman is summa cum laude, member of National Honor Society, president of Model United Nations, and lettered in tennis and skiing. He is a certified snowboard instructor. He will attend the University of Michigan. ASHLEY BECKWITH North Farmington Beckwith has been active in SADD, DECA, dance and other school activities. She will attend the University of Michigan. BRIAN BERMAN Country Day Berman is captain of wrestling and Michigan High School Athletic Association scholar-athlete,president of Spanish Club, a National Merit com- mended student, peer tutor, Temple Israel youth group and graduate of Temple Israel High. He will attend the University of Michigan or Washington University. Applebaum is secretary of National Honor Society and Bear of the Year in volleyball. She will graduate from Temple Emanu-El religious school. She volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, Temple Emanu-El Social Action Committee and others. She will attend the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science and Arts. RACHEL BELKIN North Farmington JEREMY BERMAN West Bloomfield Belkin was a National Merit commend- ed student and a DECA National Qualifier. She received the Superintendent's Award and merit awards in English, French, science and history. She was a member of tennis team and Maccabi Youth Games. She won a Regents Scholarship and will attend the University of Michigan. Berman is involved with student gov- ernment, National Honor Society, var- sity track and football. He will graduate Shaarey Zedek Hebrew High. He received a Regents Merit Scholarship and a Michigan Merit Award and will attend the University of Michigan Honors College. He has received the social studies and history merit awards and placed third in Chemistry Fair. He has per- formed community service and complet- ed the Service Learning Program. He is active in Kishon AZA. He will attend the University of Michigan. Betel has been active in Adat Shalom's Nosh'n'Drosh for five years, and on the board for two. She participated in USY on Wheels and Poland/Israel Pilgrimage. She was on class council, drama, student government, soccer and was a four-time scholar-athlete. She will study architecture at the University of Michigan. Barr is co-founder and president of Volunteer Impact, editor-in-chief of school newspaper, member National Honor Society and thespians, and Yad Ezra and Habitat for Humanity volunteer.
