Bar/Bat Mitzvah
Benjamin Jacobs will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
May 12, at Temple
Israel. He is the son
of Andrea and Shel
Jacobs and brother
of Lauren and
Barbara Jacobs and
Debby Skolnick.
Excited grandparents
are Roma and Nate
Blitstein. He is also
the grandson of the late Leona and
Ben Jacobs.
An honor student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield,
Ben enjoys basketball, football, golf
and collecting sports cards. His most
meaningful mitzvah project was vol-
unteering at Yad Ezra.
Josh Kalisky will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
May 12, at
Congregation B'nai
Moshe. He is the
son of Susan and Jay
Kalisky of West
Bloomfield and the
older brother of
Chad. Proud grand-
parents are Evelyn
and Jack Goren of
Southfield. He is also the loving
grandson of the late Jean and Louis
Kalisky.
Josh is an honor student at
Berkshire Middle School in
Birmingham, where he actively partic-
ipates in many sports, especially base-
ball and basketball. Watching ESPN,
spending summers at Camp Tanuga,
hanging out with friends and talkinc,
on AOL are some of the things that
Josh enjoys. To prepare for his bar
mitzvah, Josh volunteered at the
Jewish Association for Residential
Care and toured the Holocaust
Memorial Center.
Nicole Rose Lederman will celebrate
her bat mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Saturday, May 12.
She is the daughter
of Shen-1 and
Ronald Lederman
and sister of Jennifer
and Meghan.
