Restoring Ties

The Jewish Community Council,
through its Detroit Jewish Initiative and
Detroit Jewish Coalition for Literacy, is
eager to provide opportunities for local
Jews to connect with Detroit. For many
of us, this will represent a reconnection
with our past — with the public schools
we attended, with the neighborhoods in
which we lived, and with memories of
trips to downtown for shopping and
entertainment.
Others may be motivated by a
