lily two attorneys could
describe their gloomy, leak-
.... ing master bathroom in West
Bloomfield as a liability. "It
was so uncomfortable, and we couldn't
even shut the door," said Nora Lynch,
an administrative law judge for the
'Michigan Employment Relations
Commission. Her husband Mark Rubin,
a trial attorney for the National Labor
Relations Board, agreed. The evidence
clearly suggested a full and thorough
renovation.
Lynch then collected photographs
from magazines and scrutinized bath-
rooms whenever she went on vacation.
"I loved one bath-
room in Hawaii with
natural wood and a
simple decor," she
noted.
She contacted
Living Spaces in
Sylvan Lake, and

the garage. "It was-
n't extensive, but it
was a master stroke," said Lynch, who
knew the idea was perfect when she
saw the drawings. "It was stunning,"
she exclaimed.
The expanded contemporary bath-
room has a Zen quality. The seafoam
green tiles and honey-colored wood cre-
ate a serene and tranquil space. The
master bath boasts a Jacuzzi, large show-
er, two vanities and plenty of storage
space.
And the jury has ruled — This ele-
gant master bath recently won first
place in the national magazine Kitchell &
Bath Business.

"The color green was a risk, but it
worked," said Lynch. The juxtaposition
of the colorful mosaics and the large
green ceramic tile also work well. The
mosaic tiles are from Ann Sacks, while
the larger green tiles are from Virginia

in Troy. The stainless sink is from Herald
