Dreaming On It is doubtful anyone who heard Danny Friedman's per- formance of 'Any Dream Will Do" at his March 25 bar mitzvah party will ever hear the song again without think- ing of him. Danny was fea- tured with his mom, Linda, in the March 23 issue of the Jewish News for the persever- ance and drive that led to his becoming a bar mitzvah in spite of special needs. At his party, he performed a medley of songs, dressed in the multi- colored costume designed for him to sing music from the stage production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." Songs Integrated With Shabbat Gan Shalom Sets Open House Beginning May 4 and continuing throughout the summer, Friday nights at Congregation B'nai Moshe will have a new look. Rabbi Elliot Pachter and Cantor Earl Berris, together with mem- bers of the congregation, will integrate traditional prayers with songs and musi- cal instruments. Each week, services will begin at 5:45 p.m. and last one hour. There will be different themes planned with a casual congregational dinner and inclu- sion of children in the service. Gan Shalom, a one-year-old early child- hood program sponsored by Congregation Beth Shalom, will hold an open house 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, May 2. The staff includes Rena Amit and Karol Chinitz. The program is open to children ages 2 1 /2 to pre-kindergarten. Parent and family involvement in the classroom and in additional programs sponsored by Gan Shalom are encour- aged.
