SPIRITUAL MESSENGER A FLOWER FOR ALL MOMS dfotheir4 Oiturick from page 81 SUNDAY, MAY 13 11 A.M. TO 3 P.M. life. They are loving thoughts from God, as described in Virtue's book. Beyond reincarnation, Perelman believes in soul clusters that move through lifetimes together. "Your son could have been your husband," she says. She also believes we all come into the world with a book of life, a blue- print of our lives. When we experience deja vu, we are experiencing little signposts. They are signals to keep growing and evolving. "You have to listen to get where you should be," she advises. Though she doesn't filter any infor- mation she receives, Perelman "only works with energy that's there to help you." She writes furiously on a yellow legal pad as she receives the messages. And she tape-records the session, as well. "I hope to bring peace of mind, com- fort, healing and direction," she says of the 45-minute to hour-long readings. "I just listen. I don't transchannel, or surrender complete control to the spirits." She emphasizes our own free will. "The spirit guides advise but they don't tell you what to do." And they don't merely appear through readings. They're in your dreams; they manipu- late electricity and air pressure; they come through music that constantly plays in your ear. As the recipient of a reading, you should have no expectations. "You should sit back and relax and confirm what you hear," says Perelman. "You can ask questions when there's a lapse in the conversation." Healing Words For Brenda Strausz, a Southfield psy- chotherapist with a curiosity about the afterlife, the reading with Perelman left her feeling light and hopeful. "I felt so connected to my parents. They started talking like they did in life." Strausz finds eternity beautiful and wonderful, especially since her parents seemed so unburdened. "It's not a per- fect science," says Strausz. "Everything is open to interpretation. But Rebecca's intent is pure. She has a def- inite gift." West Bloomfield nutritionist Dr. Ellen Kahn also was excited about her reading. "It was so relevant to what is going on in my life right now, and so correct," she says. "The information I was given fit so perfectly with the issues I am dealing with." Kahn plans to receive a reading every few months, just for reassurance that she's going in the right direction on her path to self-discovery. Self-discovery and inner peace are definite goals of Perelman's readings. Some people have unfinished business with their loved ones and need to clear the air. Such was the case with Eva Haase, an activity technician with Jewish Vocational Service in Farmington Hills who scheduled a session after three of her co-workers came back with posi- tive feedback. "I learn something new every time I listen to the tape of my session," says Haase. "I have found such inner peace." Born in China, Haase never met her grandparents, but within the first minute, Perelman connected with them and they asked if Haase was car- rying her mother's ring in her purse. It was a ring Haase never takes off her finger, but she put it in her purse that day because she thought it might be a distraction. Haase was stunned. Such was the experience of Jay Schwartz, a pawnbroker from West Bloomfield. "She blew me away," he exclaims. Schwartz has been open to the spiritual realm for the past 20 years, and has had several readings, but found Perelman's so exact and so cutting-edge. "Try to imagine hearing from grand- parents you've never met," he says. "Since I saw Rebecca I have a whole different outlook. I want to be more in tune with religion." Schwartz found the session a highly emotional, life-changing event. "Now when I want to plug into my grand- parents, I just play the tape," says the father of three. Lest you think Perelman spends every waking hour as an open channel to all those with whom she comes in contact, rest assured she doesn't walk around hearing voices. She has control over the energy that surrounds her. "I can't stay at a mall too long, though," she laughs. Perelman spends her free time in yoga classes at the Jewish Community Center and in a meditation group. She also joined Adat Shalom Synagogue. "What I do is out of love," she says. "I simply deliver messages of light." ❑ To contact Rebecca Perelman, call (248) 668-1281 or (248) 733 9882, or email her at messengeroflight@angel mail. net .
