he newly formed Hillel Day
School Alumni Association
East Coast Region held its
first event April 1 in New
York. Dr. Len and Lois Sharzer of
Manhattan hosted a brunch at their
home for more than 40 alumni. The
East Coast Region includes New York,
New Jersey; Philadelphia, Boston,
Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh.
Jessica Sharzer, a film producer and
screenwriter, was guest speaker. The
crowd watched Sharzer's film Nomi's Bat
Mitzvah and then asked questions.
Cindy Friedman and Jason Miller
were event co-chairmen. Rabbi Greta
Bernard Brown delivered the'D'var
Torah. Former Headmaster Rabbi Bob
Abramson and his wife Charlotte
attended. Hillel board member Rabbi •
Efry Spectre, rabbi emeritus of Adat
Shalom and now residing in New York
City, also attended.
The event raised more than $1,000
according to Marianne Milgrom
Bloomberg, director of development at
Hillel. She attended the event and
spoke of all the positive changes and
exciting events at the school.

A cast of Andover students will perform
A Midsummer's Night's Dream, directed
by Roberta Campion, this weekend.
The April 27 and April 28 perfor-
