Congregation Beth Shalom honored
William and Irene Schumer, 2001 Jewish
Theological Seminary of America congrega-
tional honorees, at Shabbat services March
17.
The Schumers and other synagogue
award recipients will be acknowledged at
the annual JTS community dinner on
Thursday, June 7, at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek. JTS Chancellor Ismar Schorsch will
be guest speaker.
Schumer, a native Detroiter, is president
of General Linen and Uniform Service.
