SAMUEL W. BRAVERMAN, 87, of
Huntington Woods, died March 30. He
was an attorney who practiced law in
Lincoln Park until he was 81. He was a
member of the Downriver Association
and the Wayne County Detective
Association. In addition, he was a Shriner,
a Mason and a past member of B'nai
B'rith.
Mr. Braverman is survived by his wife,
Mirriam Braverman; sons and daughters-

STELLA FREUND, 96, of West
Bloomfield, died March 30. She was in
retail sales at a Wright Kay Store and was
a member of Hadassah, B'nai B'rith and
Women's American ORT.
Mrs. Freund is survived by her son

Freund of West Bloomfield; grandchil-

ALBERT FRUMAN, 83, formerly of
Michigan of Hollywood, Fla., died April
3. He was chairman of the board of Dale
Industries Inc., a metal frame business,
which he founded in 1952. He was also
president of Steel Specialty Corp., which
he founded in 1943, and president of
Wyoming Service Corp., which he found-
ed in 1960.
Mr. Fruman was a pilot for 50 years, a
boater, hunter, fisherman, skeet shooter,
golfer and squash player. He was a mem-
ber of the Hundred Club, a 50-year
member of Knollwood Country Club.

JOSEPH GROSSINGER, 84, former
Detroiter of San Jose, Calif., died March
23.
Educated in Mih•lyfalva and
Nagyv•raci. Hungary, he endured the war
years first in the Romanian army, then in
forced labor camps in the Ukraine and
finally in a Soviet POW camp in
Byelorussia. Upon returning home in
November 1945, he discovered that his
parents, Grosinger Marton and Jolanka;
his two sisters. Eni and Olga: and his
niece, Sternthal Marika, were lost in the
Holocaust.
He married in 1946 and managed a
lumber business until 1962. He fathered
two sons and one daughter, who died of
illness in 1957. After emigrating to the
United States in 1962, he settled in
Detroit and eventually managed his own
meatpacking business there until 1989.
That year he and his wife moved to San
Jose to join their children and grandchil-
dren.
He was a member of Adat Shalom
Synagogue and Congregation B'nai
Moshe and Congregation Beth David in
Saratoga, Calif.
He is survived by his beloved wife of
54 years, Agnes; loving children, Peter,
George; daughter-in-law, Sandi; grand-
children, Kevin and Amy. He was the lov-
ing father of the late Maricza.
ERWIN HAMSON, 85, of Ann Arbor,
died March 24.
He is survived by his son, Sander
Hamson of Rochester; daughter, Karen
Wilansky of Thornhill, Ontario, Canada.

Longboat Key. Fla., died March 28. A
medical doctor who
had a general practice,
he was a graduate of

men's club.
"He was a modest
person, but a hero who inspired his fami-
ly to achieve their best," said his daughter,

ANTHONY BERNARD MEISNER,
57, of Birmingham died April 2. He
graduated from Mumford High School in
1961. He received his
bachelor's degree from
Wayne State
University, his law
degree from Detroit
College of Law and he
once argued a case
before the United
States Supreme Court.
He also served as a

State University Law
School and as a magistrate in the
Oakland County courts.
He is survived by his son, Andy;
