Mendelsohn, and Ada and Harold
Laven, former Detroiters who moved to
Scottsdale.
"Buddy and Rosalie Disner hosted a
fun-filled evening at the Buca Di
Peppo Restaurant here, famous for
being ultra-casual. The guests enter
the dining area after being ushered
through the kitchen area to their
tables. The food is served family-style
and naturally quite casual. Some
guests are seated in the kitchen as well.
"The Arrivederci Restaurant was the
setting for a 'Detroit Mafia and Purple
Gang' meeting of Detroit area snow-
birds. Clan members were hosted by
Ricki Nederlander and Iry Rubin, alias
"Noodles" and "Rubino". A very novel
invitation was quite specific as to
required dress of black shirts and blue
jeans. Truly a fun evening.
"Among the winter visitors attend-
ing were: Jean and Gerald Sucher, Sue
and Leo Knight, Suzanne and Harvey
Schatz, Maxine Gregory, Elaine and
David Zack, Pauline and David
Goodman, Barbara and Gordon
Meisner, Edie and Ernie Schwartz,
Sharon and Marvin Sucher, Doris and
Leo Friedman.
"Clare and Arnie Becker had a
Sunday brunch for over 30 guests.
Attending were: Beverly and Irving

"Michigan snowbirds joined in
Gordon Meisner's 75th birthday cele-
bration at the Meisner Scottsdale win-
ter home. His wife, Barbara, had been
planning this get-together here instead
of Michigan. Gordon's birthday is
actually in July."
