Jayme Jackson celebrated her bat
mitzvah on Saturday, March 31, at
Temple Shir
Shalom. She is the
daughter of Barbara
and Jerry Jackson
and sister of Meryl
Jackson. Proud
grandparents are
Delores and Monte
Markowitz.
While attending
Berkshire Middle School in
Birmingham, Jayme enjoys tap, bal-
let and jazz dancing, writing and
playing the flute in the school band.
As part of her mitzvah project,
Jayme found it meaningful to vol-
unteer at Yad Ezra.

Dana Alexandra Schweitzer was
called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah
on Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Grosse

West Bloomfield is

announce the engagement of
her daughter Alisa Suzanne to
Kyle William Chapple, son of
Charles and Diane Chapple
of Fenton. Alisa is also the
daughter of the late Marvin
Bloom.
Alisa earned her bachelor
of arts degree from Western
Michigan University. She is
employed as an executive
manager with Target Corp.
Kyle is also a graduate of
Western Michigan University,
where he received his degree
in business administration.
He is employed at Chapple
Electric.
A November wedding is
planned at Temple Beth El.

are Elaine and Peter Schweitzer of
Grosse Pointe Farms. Also proud of
their sister are brothers Mark and
Tom, and sisters Ann, Cindy,
Jenifer, Samantha and Taylor.
Sharing in the joy are grandparents
Ruth and Stan Etkin of Boca Raton,
Fla., and Ellen Schweitzer of Battle
Creek.
Dana is an honor student at
Brownell Middle School in Grosse
Pointe Farms, where she maintains a
straight A average. She enjoys ten-
nis, volleyball, riding, art, music
and travel.
For her mitzvah projects, Dana
provided homework help for ele-
mentary school children and helped
tutor Sunday school children in
Hebrew reading. She also earned all
the money to pay for her party cen-
terpieces, which were baskets filled
with schoolbooks and supplies,
which were then donated to families
in need through Yad Ezra.
