She was the chair of Sunday at the
Seminary in Detroit and co-chair of the
Conservative movement's scholar-in-
residence Program. In 1991, Charlotte
and Warren received the Jewish
Theological Seminary of America's
Second Century. Award. She supported
Hadassah, American Women for Bar-
Ilan and American Friends of Hebrew
University.
She died of cancer in January 2000.
The Tessler family has created the
Charlotte Tessler Fund for Alumni
Affairs in her memory.
Part of the annual dinner includes a
silent auction. An array of prizes and
services will be featured. Loni Garon,
Tammy Gorosh and Lesly Sallan are
co-chairs of the dinner and auction.
