JCC To Host
Film Festival

The Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit will hold its
third annual Lenore Marwil Jewish
Film Festival April 19-May 6 at the
United Artists Theatres in
Commerce Township.
The festival \\fill feature 30 films
in 20 screenings. Producers, direc-
tors and other speakers will appear
to discuss their work or to talk
about the content of the films.
New this year will be a 9:45 p.m.
Saturday showing. There will be ani-
mation, shorts, documentaries and
features on many aspects of Jewish
life. The festival will continue the
Focus on Film series begun last year,
providing moviegoers with critical
reviews of each day's features. Series
rickets are available at 579 per tick-
et; 569 for older adults. Individual
tickets cost 57 general admission, 56
for older adults.
Sponsor opportunities are avail-
able. A patron event to honor spon-
sors will be held April 26.

Jewish Family Service's Alliance for
Adoption will host a gathering for
people interested in international
Adoption 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March
25 at the Jewish Community Center
in West Bloomfield.
Anne Liddicotr, director of social
services at the Frank Adoption
Center in North Carolina, and
Alliance for Adoption Director
Diane St. Peter will explore issues
and options related to adoption.
There is no charge; reservations are
requested.
Frank Adoption is a private, non-
profit licensed child placement
agency, placing children from
Russia, Kazakhstan and the Republic
of Georgia.
Alliance for Adoption is a division
of Jewish Family Service of
Metropolitan Detroit, offering home
studies for domestic and interna-
tional adoption, child placement,
pregnancy, infertility and post-place-
ment counseling and
searches/reunions.
