FRANK J. WINTON, 86, of Bloomfield Hills, died March 20. He loper and was an attorney, land developer a 1940 gradu- vas builder. Mr. Winton ate of Wayne State University Law School. He was a bomber pilot and instructor in the U.S. Air Force from 1941-1946. Mr. Winton was a past president of Brandeis University Associates (1956- Frank Winton 58), past board member of Wayne financial State University Press, of the Arts at chair of Symposium of Oakland University (which is now the Meadowbrook Festival), a past board member of the Southeast Michigan Builders Association, member of Temple Beth El and of the Embers Breakfast Club. He was also a champion squash play- er and golfer, was active in the senior division of the U.S. Tennis Association and was ranked Third in singles in the U.S. national ratings when he was in his 80s. He was also invited as a mem- ber of the U.S. team to the Gordon Cup Competition between the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Winton is survived by his wife of 58 years, Flora Winton; daughter, Susan Winton Feinberg of Bloomfield Hills; nephew and niece, Robert and Sandra London. Interment at White Chapel Cemetery.
