All-State Adam
Honors
Zussman, a

senior defense-
man for Detroit
Country Day
School in Beverly
Hills, was named
to the All-State
ice hockey team.
Zussman, of
Huntington
Woods, played
Adam Zussman
four years for
DCDS and was
co-captain the last two years and had
10 goals and 21 assists this season. He
also plays varsity lacrosse and has a 3.8
grade point average.
Zussman played three years on the
JCC-Maccabi in-line hockey team. He
will play hockey next year at Tufts
University.

Jaffe Named
To Maccabiah
Emily Jaffe, a

freshman at
North
Farmington High
School, has been
named to the
U.S. junior tennis
team for the 16th
Maccabiah
Games in Israel
this summer.
Emily Jaffe
Jaffe qualified at
tryouts at the University of
Pennsylvania. Unseeded, she beat the
No. 1 seed 6-1, 6-2, and made it to
the finals to earn a spot on the team.
At North Farmington last fall, Jaffe
went 23-3 at No. 1 singles, setting a
school record for wins in a season and
earning All-State recognition. She was
ranked 50th in her age group by the
Midwestern Tennis Association.
Jaffe set a goal to play in the
Maccabiah Games after watching her
brother Brad compete in junior tennis
at the 15th Games in 1997.

Garret Freid's three goals led Raptors
past Pterodactyls, 10-3. Andrew
Brewster's game winner with less than
a minute to go gave Iguanadons the
win over Stegasaurus. Four goals by
Brett Felsenfeld led Pterosaurus over
T-Rex, 9-5.
Squirt Division: David Shvimer
scored three goals and added an assist
in a 6-4 Hornets victory over Swarm.
Chase Rogers netted seven Tarantula
goals as the previously undefeated
Mantis fell 9-8. Cole Neumann led
Fireants with four goals and an assist
in their 10-6 win over Scorpions .
Mantis had revenge against
Tarantulas, 13-2, led by Josh Moss's
three goals and three assists. Down 7-8
with 20 seconds to go, Hornets' Zach
Yaker scored to tie Swarm, 8-8. Cole
Neumann's eight goals led Fireants
over Scorpions, 12-9.
Pee-Wee Division: Ari Stawis' goal
and four assists led Red Wings over
Vipers, 7-3. Justin Rolnitsky had two
goals and two assists as Red Wings
beat Hawks, 12-3.
