I have seen such passion, dedication
and love flowing through the Beth
Hayeled hallways from our parents. As
the weeks progressed, I have watched a
group of individuals come together in
one unit — one loving unit with one
purpose. They have rallied in a profes-
sional manner finding each other's
strengths, and developing these
strengths into a format that both par-
ents and board could build together.
I am proud to be a part of this won-
derful, articulate and dedicated "fami-
ly." Anyone who chooses to bring
their children to our school will find a
warm, close-knit group of children,
parents, teachers, rabbis and adminis-
trators — truly a "family."

Serving Up A
Taste Of Judaism

yoa/ visit,

A creative response to the Holy Land
Experience in Florida would have an
advertising blitz announcing that syn-
agogues would be offering Taste of
Judaism classes so Jew and gentile
could understand why Jews do not
believe in Jesus (Editor's Notebook,
"Beyond The Message," page 5).
These classes are attracting many
people who go on to convert to
Judaism, and each convert is a testi-
mony to the fact that one cannot be
both Christian and Jewish. Such a
program would have brought poetic
justice to the machinations of these
Hebrew Christians.

Your coverage of the Detroit Institute
of Arts exhibit "Treasures of the Royal
Tombs of Ur," covered so magnifi-
cently in,color ("In The Footsteps Of
Abraham," Feb. 23, page 51), should
be reproduced everywhere.
I call for an interfaith conference o
Jews, Christians and Muslim religions
to recall that all of us were created in
the image of Abraham's one God.
Detroit has a unique infrastructure
all set to execute this celebration. We
lead the country — and the world —
in interfaith and ecumenical activity.
