Zeitlin Named
All-Conference
David Zeitlin of

Farmington
Hills, a 6'1"
guard on the
Walled Lake
Western High
School basket-
ball team, was
named to the
Western Lakes
Activities
Association all-
conference first
team by the
David Zeitlin
league coaches.
Zeitlin is the
only junior on the first team. He set
Walled Lake Western's single-season
assist record this season, averaging 8.3
per game. He also averaged nearly 10
points and three steals.
Western coach Rex Stanczak called
Zeitlin "one of the finest point. guards
in the area and one of the best I have
ever coached." Zeitlin was one of two
returning lettermen from last year's
league and district championship
team. Zeitlin led WL Western to a
third-place league finish this season.

Sandler Wins
Bronze Medal

Ronald Sandler of Huntington Woods
stopped 24 shots in goal last month as
the Edshockey.com ice hockey team
won the bronze medal at the Michigan
Senior Olympic Games in Gaylord.
Edshockey beat the Michigan
Mavericks 4-1 in the medal round.
Players in the tournament must be 50
and over, except goalies. Sandler is 49.
