Acceptance

Although the Grosse Pointe area once
was thought of as anti-Semitic and
non-inclusive to minorities, GPJC
members say they feel welcome.
"Grosse Pointe has a bum rap as
being anti-Semitic. It really isn't," said
Moulton, who has lived in the area for
25 years. "The location is really nice
with the lakes, the school system is
great, you don't have to drive every-
where, and it's close to the city."
David Gad-Harf, executive director
of the Jewish Community Council of
Metropolitan Detroit, said: "The situ-
ation in the Grosse Pointe area today
is dramatically different from the situ-
ation several decades ago.
