KICKOFF OF THE 23RD annual
River Crab Salmon Stakes Fishing
Tournament was recently held at
Charley's Crab.
Honorary chairperson Diana Lewis,
W)(YZ-TV Ch. 7 newscaster, was
dynamic again in her greeting speech.
This year will be the biggest yet for
the Salmon Stakes, founded by the
late Chuck Muer and by Al Tyrell.
It annually helps the Blue Water
Mental Health Clinic in its wonderful
work, providing outpatient counseling
programs for troubled children, adults
and their families.
Last year's total was just over
$100,000 ... Over $105,000 is antici-
pated this year ... The 22-year total is
over $1,202,000 ... far more than
Chuck and Al ever expected.
The Salmon Stakes will be held
Saturday, April 28 ... hosted again by
the Chuck Muer group and River
Crab Restaurant ... with folks fishing
for fun and prizes ... plus being in on
the $10 per ticket raffle for more top
awards.
Registrations must be received by

THE SECOND Glatt Kosher All-
You-Can-Eat Chinese Buffet in
Michigan will be after the Passover
holiday in April.
It'll be by kosher caterer Jeffrey
Rosenberg, who had the first Chinese
buffet in December ... and will again
be held at Adat Shalom Synagogue on
Middlebelt.
Prices will be $19 adults and $10
children ... 3 and under are free ...
After the huge success of the first glatt
kosher Chinese buffet, people galore
have asked Jeff to put it on again ...
and he is honoring their requests ...
along with thoughts of creating even
more ideas for the event.
Chinese food will be from various
regions ... Cantonese, Mongolian,
Szechuan, etc ... A hot, spicy table
with ingredients for folks who like
