Five years later, the annual Medical and Professional Ethics Conference continues with the Sunday, Feb. 25 program, "To Wonder, Ponder and Discover." Hosted by Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, sessions will be led by rabbis, doctors, educators and chaplains on the ethical and legal per- spective of subjects ranging from prayer and visiting the sick to cosmet- ic surgery and childhood illness. A series of case studies will also be pre- sented in an interactive course. Sessions are CME accredited by either Botsford Hospital or Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit for physi- cians and those in health care fields, but the conference is open to anyone interested in medical ethics. Machon L:Torah, the Jewish Learning Network of Michigan is an Oak Park-based independent, non-prof- it community sponsored organization, founded and directed by Rabbi Avraham Jacobovitz, to perpetuate Jewish values and culture.
