insisted families from Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit on
Sunday.
The school held its annual Jump Rope for
Heart and Hoops for Heart activities, com-
bined with a blood donor drive, to benefit the
American Heart Association and the American
Red Cross.
The students collected on pledged dona-
tions by jumping rope, shooting basketballs,
and spinning hula hoops. More than $5,000
was raised by the students and their families,
and parents donated 40 pints of blood to the
American Red Cross. El
