JARC Awaits
New Offices

The Jewish Association for
Residential Care (JARC) will move
to a new headquarters in
Farmington Hills on March 1.
The Paul and Lois Katzman
Building, 30301 Northwestern
Highway, will accommodate pro-
grams and administrative functions
for 19 group homes, the
Independent Living Services
Division and the Merle and Shirley
Harris Children and Family
Division.
The new home office will have
improved meeting space, activities
for consumers, educational programs
for families, board and committee
work space and University of JARC
staff training sessions. Other features
will include a resource center, a
training/educational lab, conference
rooms, space to store donated items
and increased parking. It will also
house books, videotapes, audiotapes,
magazines, Judaica, resource ideas
for Shabbat and other Jewish festi-
vals and materials for use in JARC
group homes and programs.

and prominent areas in the Katzman

Women's League
Plans Forum

Women's League for Conservative
Judaism's Michigan Branch will hold its
branch conference Saturday March 17,
and Sunday, March 18.
The conference will begin Saturday
evening at the home of Faye Ullmann
with Havdalah at 8:30 p.m. The theme
for the conference is "What we do this
day can change our lives."
The Sunday meeting will take place
at Congregation Beth Shalom. At 12:30
p.m. there will be a valued volunteer
luncheon; honorees will be from each of
the sisterhoods in Michigan Branch. On
Sunday afternoon, Rabbi Amy Bolton
will give background in women's rituals
from history to modern times.
Participants will then work in groups to
develop a ritual using their own ideas.
Terry Winston from the Canadian
Seaway Branch will be the consultant for
the conference.
