Ray's, will award $15,000 in scholar-
ships to culinary students from across
metro Detroit ... This is the third set of
scholarships from the event, following
$15,000 last year, and $11,000 the year
before.
The extravaganza name says wine,
but there'll also be two restaurants
known, too, for their award-winning
beer ... Big Rock Chop & Brew in
Birmingham ... and Local Color
Brewing Co. in Novi.
Over 800 are expected to attend.
AFTER 22 YEARS, Cranbrook
School won't be hosting the annual
fundraiser for Michigan Chefs De
Cuisine Association ... The fine MCCA
chefs group is looking into other alter-
natives to take over for the former
Cranbrook Gala.

A priest watches and then approaches
the men ... He turns to the man with
the Star of David and says, "Young
man. Don't you realize that this is a
Catholic country? You'll never get any
contributions in this country holding a
Star of David," and walks off
The man with the Star of David turns
to the man with the cross and says,
"Moshe, can you imagine, this guy is try-
ing to tell us how to run our business."
