Through a video presentation, Deanna Sperka will discuss
her ongoing exploration of terrorism in Israel. She brings us
the human aspect of this horrific weapon of our time. A
question-and-answer session will follow the discussion.

Week 3 — The Jews Are a Dancing People
Learn about dance from Biblical times, Eastern Europe and
famous Jewish dancers and enjoy dance presentations by the
Festival Dancers.

SAJE General Information

Courses are each four consecutive weeks long. Please note: There is no class March 8. Check course listings for days and times.

REGISTRATION: Register in person, by mail, phone, fax or online. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
• IN PERSON: Register at the JCC D. Dan and Betty Kahn Building, Jewish Life and Learning
Department or at the Jimmy Prentis Morris Building.
• CHARGE BY PHONE: Charge your courses to VISA or MasterCard by calling the Jewish Life and
Learning Department, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at (248) 661-7649 at least one week before class begins.
• BY MAIL: Send your completed registration form to the Jewish Life and Learning Department,
6600 W. Maple Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48322.
• BY FAX: (VISA or MasterCard only) Fax the registration form to us at (248) 661-7711 at least one week
before class begins.
• ONLINE (safe and secure site): (VISA or MasterCard only) Register at wvv -w.eregister.com.
FEES: Course fees are $15 per course and $36 for 3 or more courses in this year's SAJE program. Full tuition must accompany
all registrations. Payment may be made by check, money order or credit card (VISA or MasterCard only). Jewish educators
and professional staff of Jewish agencies and congregations may register free of charge. Nirim credits 13-24 will be given.
For credits 1-12 please contact your school director. To receive credit you must check in at the Nirim table in the lobby at either
JCC location.

REFUNDS & WITHDRAWALS: A $5 fee will be charged on all withdrawals after classes start. Refunds will be issued for
withdrawals made before class begins. If a course is cancelled, the entire tuition will be refunded.

SAJE HOURS AND LOCATIONS: Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Building,
Eugene and Marcia Applebaum Jewish Community Campus, 6600 W. Maple Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48322, and
Wednesdays at the Jimmy Prentis Morris Building, A. Alfred Taubman Jewish Community Campus,15110 West Ten Mile
Road, Oak Park, MI 48237. Locations for offsite courses are noted in course description. Classes will be held from 7:30 to
8:20 p.m. and 8:35 to 9:25 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Light refreshments will be served during the break.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS: You will be notified in advance if the course has been cancelled. Any schedule changes will
be announced in class. In case of inclement weather, please tune to WWJ 950, WJR 760, WNIC 100.3, or call the JCC at
(248) 661-1000.

CHILD CARE: Supervised child care will be available from 7:30 to 8:20 p.m. (first hour only). Only pre-registered children
between the ages of 3 and 10 will be accepted. Deadline for child care registration is February 19. Child care is free of charge.
