EVA TOPPEL DREYLINGER, 89, of
West Bloomfield, died Feb. 4. She was a
life member of Hadassah, Temple Israel
and its sisterhood and a member of
Service With Love, a senior help organi-
zation.
Mrs. Dreylinger is survived by her
husband, Leon Dreylinger; daughter
and son-in-law, Barbara and Richard
Rosenthal of West Bloomfield; son and
daughter-in-law, Harold and Carol
Toppel of California; stepdaughter,
Molly Waldman; grandchildren, Jeffrey
and Sherry Rosenthal, Amy and David
Finn, Scott Toppel, Brian and Nicole
Toppel, Steve Waldman and Mo Clancy,
Jason and Lynette Waldman; great-
grandchildren, Benjamin and Taylor
Toppel. Mrs. Dreylinger was the
beloved wife of the late Morris Toppel.
Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.

FREDA ERSHER, 89, of West
Bloomfield, died Jan. 31. She was a
member of the B'nai B'rith Zager
Chapter.
Mrs. Ersher is survived by her sons
and daughters-in-law, Edward and
Beverly Ersher of Farmington Hills,
Mitchell and Ronna Ersher of
Waterford; daughters and son-in-law,
Judith and Marvin Weinstein of
Commerce Township, Susan Ersher of
West Bloomfield; grandchildren,
Michelle and Richard Gordon, Eric and
Amy Ersher, Michael and Patty
Weinstein, Marla and Brian McCaffrey,
Emily Erscher; great-grandchildren,
Rachel and Adam Gordon, Julia and
Simon McCaffrey, Kyle and Bradley
Weinstein; brother, Nathan Zager of
West Boomfield. Mrs. Ersher was the
beloved wife of the late Sidney Ersher;
dear sister of the late Etta Barbas and
the late Rose Dubrinsky.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.

WENDY JOYRICH, 38, of Orion
Township, died Feb. 4. For 14 years, she
was a high school teacher at Rochester
Adams, where she taught math, govern-
ment and philosophy She was also on
the state board of Michigan ACLU,
chaired the State Legislative Affairs

Committee of ACLU,
was a past chair of the
Oakland County chap-
ter of ACLU and the
national head of the
ACLU Forum, an
Internet site. Ms.
Joyrich was a support-
er of any organization
that supported
women's right to choose.
She is survived by her partner, Dan
Ingram; parents, Dr. Myron and Ida
Joyrich of Franklin; brother, Richard
Joyrich; sisters and brother-in-law,
Lynne Joyrich of Rhode Island and
Naiomi Joyrich and-Cory Hamilton o
Seattle.
Interment at Hebrew Memorial Pai

MAX KANAREK, 91, of Menlo Park
Calif, died Jan. 30. A native of Detroi
Mr. Kanarek served in World War II fi
three years. On his return to Detroit,
went into the furniture business from
which he retired in 1977 and settled it
California. He was a lifetime Mason
and a member of the Elks.
Mr. Kanarek is survived by his wife.
Lillian; daughter and son-in-law, Paula
and Ross Kaplan of Salem, Ore.; gran
children, Adrian and Lauren Kaplan;
sister-in-law, Shirley Kanarek of
Southfield.
Interment in California.

JACK KUTNICK, 73, of Boca Raton
Fla., died Jan. 26. He entered the Arm
during World War II and served in .
Germany. After his discharge, he enter(
Wayne U. and earned a bachelor of sci
ence degree in pharmacy in 1951. He
then opened Jack's Drugs in Dearborn,
which he operated for over 15 years.
He had a lifetime association with
the Wayne State College of Pharmacy,
serving as a guest lecturer, a participant
in its outreach drug abuse program anc
professional seminars, a member of the
Dean's Advisory Committee and a pre-
ceptor for the college's clerkship pro-
gram. He sponsored a scholarship pro-
gram for undergraduate students and
supported needy students with grants.
