here's nothing like vivid colors to bright-
en up a gray, February day. We prescribe
a dose of red fashions, mixed well with
passions and trends to eliminate the win-

ter blahs.
Linda Bachrack, assistant editor, and Debbie
Schultz, art director, are still seeing red from our
fashion shoot with staff photographer Krista Husa.
Krista enlisted the help of her friend, Abby
Rutheiser, to model some red-hot fashions —leather
skirts, leather pants, skimpy T-shirts and shiny acces-
sories.
Our passions profile is Dr. David
Cantor, an obstetrician and gynecologist
who creates showroom-quality furniture
in his workroom at home. Writer Jill
Davidson interviewed this remarkable
physician at his West Bloomfield home.
Read about his wonderful hobby and
where he finds his inspiration.
We showcase two very different and
interesting events this issue: the Chinese
Auction at N'Iachon L'Torah and singles weekend at
Camp Tanuga.
We hope these colors and stories are just the right
prescription to get you through the winter doldrums.
So keep red hot and well read this season with
Style at the Jewish News and Style magazine.
Sincerely,
