The foundation has set the follow- . ing goals: • To address the needs of Jewish women and girls and advance women's and girls' issues generally • To fund projects that seek to improve the status of Jewish women and girls overall, not simply to provide services or programming that benefit individual Jewish women and girls. • To fund projects that addresses the root causes of challenges faced by Jewish women and girls. • To be an educational vehicle for Jewish women in philanthropy • To be grant makers within the context of being Jewish women: cele brating our identities, recapturing our biblical and historic legacy and honor- ing our traditions of tzedakah (charita- ble acts) and tikkun olam (repair of the world).
