Allison Emily Rosenberg will be called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Jan. 27, at Temple Kol Ami.
She will join Rabbi Norman T Roman
and Rabbi Ernst
Conrad in leading
the services. .
Allie is the daugh-
ter orKathy and Stu
Rotenberg, sister of
Josh and granddaugh-
ter of Milt and Terry
Rotenberg of West
Bloomfield and of the
late Odem and Emma Bailey.
Allie is an honor student at Clifford
Smart Middle School in Walled Lake.
She enjoys art, water and snow skiing,
basketball, softball and is a certified
scuba diver. She also plays the flute and
piccolo in the school orchestra.
Her most meaningful mitzvah pro-
ject was helping to care for the home-
less when Temple Kol Ami housed 30
people from the South Oakland Shelter
in its building for a week in November.
Allie collected funds to support this
effort by conducting a neighborhood
bottle and can drive. She also helped
prepare breakfast and made lunches for
the temple's guests.

School in West Bloomfield, where he
participates in foot-
ball, basketball and
wrestling and plays
violin in the school
orchestra. He is a
goalie for the
Southfield Warriors
Travel Team and has
played second base
for Lakeland for the
past two years. He has enjoyed several
summers at Camp Tamarack and
Ferris State Hockey Camp.
Because he wanted to help children,
Michael chose to volunteer at Yad Ezra
and Children's Hospital of Michigan
and to participate in a skate-a-thon for
children as part of his mitzvah projects.

Jordan is an honor student at Derby
Middle School in Birmingham and is
on the school football team. He also
enjoys lacrosse, snowboarding, baseball,
soccer and reading historical fiction and
Harry Potter books. Jordan's favorite
mitzvah project was entertaining foster
children with his father at an Orchards
Children's Services party.

Mitchell Segall will celebrate his bar
mitzvah at Temple Emanu-El on
Saturday, Jan. 27. He is the son of
Hardy Segall and Eve
Avadenka and a
wonderful big broth-
er to Nathan and
Roxanne. Proud
grandparents are Jack
and Shelly Segall and
Edward and Beverly
Avadenka.
Mitch is an
honor student at Norup Middle
School in Oak Park. He plays trom-
bone in the seventh-grade band and
in the Norup Jazz Band. This year he
was chosen to serve on the student
panel of Peer Mediators at Norup.
Mitch's passion is ice hockey and he
plays defense for the Berkley Wings;
he scored a career high of 20 goals.
He loves music, collecting hockey
cards and hanging out with friends.
For his mitzvah project, Mitch
became a leader in training for the
Huntington Woods Recreation
Department. Last summer, he worked
with pre-school-age children and plans
to return to the day camp program this
summer as a leader in training.

Bradley Joel Snider will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah at Adat Shalom
Synagogue on Saturday, Jan. 27. His
proud parents are Drs. Harriet and
Lloyd Snider. Brad
is the brother of
Rachel and Jaclyn.
He is the grandson
of Esther Pelton and
Margaret Snider and
the late Abraham
Pelton and the late
Reuben Snider.
Brad is an honor
student at Orchard Lake Middle School
in West Bloomfield. He enjoys playing
the trumpet, tennis, table tennis and
biking.
As part of his mitzvah project, Brad
volunteered his services feeding the
homeless at Adat Shalom, working with
the Jewish Association for Residential
Care and donating funds to Yad Ezra.
