Mona and Mark Dembs of West
Bloomfield and Diane and Paul Horgan
of Sunset Beach, N.C., are proud to
announce the engagement of their chil-
dren Cindy Dembs and Brian Horgan.
Cindy received her bachelor's degree
from Michigan State University and her
master's of occupational therapy from
Midwestern University. She works as a
pediatric occupational therapist in
Champaign, Ill.

Brian received his bachelor's degree
from Michigan State University and
master's degree from North Carolina
University. He will complete his doctor
of philosophy degree in horticulture in
May at the University of Illinois. Brian
will pursue a career in academia, special-
izing in turfgrass management.
A June wedding is planned at
Addison Oaks Country Club in
Addison Township.

Manko-Prohow

Caren and Ken Manko of West
Bloomfield are thrilled to announce the
engagement of their daughter Jennifer
Karolyn to Daniel Steven Prohow, son
of Julie and Michael Prohow of
Farmington Hills.
Jennifer received her bachelor's
degree in physiology from Michigan
State University and is a second-year
medical school student at the University
of Health Sciences, College of

Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City.
Dan is also a graduate of Michigan
State University, where he received his
bachelor's degree in packaging. He is
employed by General Motors in man-
agement and is working toward his mas-
ter's of business administration at the
University of Kansas.
An August wedding is planned at the
Hotel Baronette in Novi.
