Ethan Abram MacWilliams will cele-
brate his bar mitzvah on Saturday, Jan.
20, at Temple Beth El. Participating in
the ceremony will be
his proud parents,
Bruce and Gale
MacWilliams, and
his proud older sister
Meara MacWilliams.
Ethan is happy
that his grandparents
will be in attendance:
Jeanette
MacWilliams of Bloomfield Township
and Moniek and Riwa Margulies of
Plantation, Fla. Ethan is also the grand-
son of the late Jack MacWilliams.
Ethan is an honor student at Warner
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
He plays in the school band and partic-
ipates in the Warner Technology Club.
He especially enjoys spending his free
time with strategy computer games,
video games, water skiing, snowboard-
ing and friends and family.
His most meaningful mitzvah pro-
ject included helping at special func-
tions and teaching computer skills at
the Jewish Federation Apartments in
Oak Park and West Bloomfield. He
also donates his time to Orchards
Children's Services.

Erika Lynn Mandell of Farmington
Hills was called to the Torah as a bat
mitzvah on Friday,
Jan. 12, at Temple
Shir Shalom. She led
the service with
Rabbis Dannel
Schwartz and
Michael Moskowitz.
Her parents, Donna
