ROSE KADANS, 91, of Southfield,

died Jan. 11.
She is survived by her son, Barry
Kadans of Waterford; brother, Sam
Koral of Tucson, Ariz.; sister,
Dorothy Gordon of Las Vegas, Nev.;
grandchildren, Alison, Jeffrey, Mark;
great-grandson, Jacob. Mrs. Kadans
was the loving mother of the late
Arlene Kadans.

IRVING KOZUCH, 78, of

Southfield, died Jan. 13.
He is survived by his wife, Helen
Kozuch; daughter, Rita Kozuch of

California.

Orion, died Jan. 14.
He is survived by his parents,

Bennett of Saline.

DR. ADI LITAN, 62, of Be'er
Sheva, Israel, died Dec. 29. He was
a professor of physical chemistry at
Ben-Gurion University. Dr. Litan
was a graduate of the Technion in
Haifa, where he received his bache-
lor of science in chemistry degree
and his master's degree. He received
his doctor of philosophy degree
from the Weitzmann Institute in
Rehovot, Israel; was a Fulbright
Scholar and recently received an
award of excellence in teaching from
Ben-Gurion University.
In addition to doing research in
DNA, he concentrated on teaching

chemistry in the engineering school.
He also served as a consultant to the
ministry of education on teaching
chemistry in Israeli high schools and
he conducted many seminars for
chemistry teachers in Israel. Dr.
Litan published numerous articles
and textbooks used throughout
Israeli high schools.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi
(Meyer) Litan; sister and brother-in-
law, Daphna and Joel Feldman; chil-
dren, Daliah, Varda, Calanit and
Nurit.

SUSAN M. NUCIAN, 49, of

Farmington Hills, died Jan. 9. She
was a member of Adat Shalom
Synagogue and its sisterhood, the
Great Lakes Yacht Club and was an
engineer liaison for North American
vehicles over-
seas.
Mrs. Nucian is
survived by her
husband,
Richard Nucian;
sons, Joshua
Nucian, Stephen
Nucian; parents,
G. Donald and
Dorothea
Sumpter of
Susan Nucian
Florida; father-
in-law and
mother-in-law, Lew and Mollie
Nucian; sister and brother-in-law,
