Saturday, Jan. 13.
They are the sisters
of Melanie Borson
and grandchildren of Allison Borson
-Dr. Fred Borson and
Shirley Weiner. They
are also the grand-
children of the late
Frances Borson and
the late Dr. Lawrence
M. Weiner.
Allison attends
Orchard Lake Middle
School in West
Ilana Borson
Bloomfield, where
she plays flute in the
school symphony
band. She likes
music, dance, figure
skating, singing, act-
ing, Star Wars and
computers. Visiting
the elderly at Elan
Village was her most Jodi Borson
meaningful mitzvah
project.
Also at Orchard Lake Middle -
School, Ilana is interested in dancing,
singing, acting, reading, writing and
computers. She found it especially
meaningful to volunteer at Yad Ezra as
part of her mitzvah projects.
Attending West Bloomfield's Abbott
Middle School, Jodi likes to dance,
work the computer and play with her
dog. Her favorite mitzvah project was
volunteering at Elan Village.

Jennifer Henri Kahn will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
Jan. 13, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
She is the daughter of
Cindy and Marc
Kahn and sister of
Emily. She is the
granddaughter of
Ruth and Irwin
Kahn, Shirley Obron
and the late Henry
Obron.
Jennifer is a seventh-grader at
Cranbrook Kingswood Middle School
in Bloomfield Hills, where she is on the
dean's list. She enjoys skiing, tennis,
traveling and being with her friends.
Jennifer's mitzvah projects include help- .
ing at Yad Ezra, volunteering for the
Coalition On Temporary Shelter and
planting trees in Detroit.

Jeffrey Michael Felch will celebrate his
bar mitzvah at a Havdalah service on
Saturday, Jan. 13, at Temple Beth El.
Jeffrey is the son of Millie Felch and
Paul Felch and the
brother of Jillian.
His grandmother is
Rebecca Felch. He is
also the grandson of
the late Joseph Felch
and Clifford and
Kay Bostick.
Jeffrey is an
eighth-grader at
Birmingham Covington School and
enjoys snowboarding, basketball and
soccer. He also participated in the
Maccabi games last August. Jeffrey's
mitzvah project included volunteering
at the Coalition On Temporary
Shelter.

Jason Alan Rudy will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Jan.
13, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. He is the
son of Rae Rudy and
William Rudy and
brother of Michael.
Proud grandparents
are Pauline Sztarkman
and Anna Rudy. He
is also the grandson of
the late Morris
Sztarkman and the late Sol Rudy.
Jason is an honor student at Orchard
Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield. He plays on a travel soccer
team and also enjoys football, skiing,
being on AOL and spending time with
friends. As part of his mitzvah project,
Jason worked with autistic children, par-
ticipated in a Havdalah service with resi-

An honor student at Berkshire
Middle School in Birmingham, Sydney
enjoys swimming, skiing, dancing, mod-
eling, forensics and babysitting. Her
mitzvah projects included volunteering
at Yad Ezra and for the Coalition On
Temporary Shelter, as well as donating
to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
