ADMINISTRATOR OF
THE JEWISH FUND

Responsible for managing the Fund's semi-annual grant
processes and for preparing grant materials and recom-
mendations for review by appropriate grant committees
and its Board. The Administrator also provides assistance
to the Jewish Fund Board as needed to promote the Fund's
visibility in the community or with activities that help it to
achieVe its mission and goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interfacing with prospective applicants to The Jewish
Fund, counseling them on their proposals, performing
on-site visits and conducting follow-up activity;
• Analyzing grant proposals and preparing materials for
review by The Jewish Fund Grants Committees and Board;
• Monitoring activity on approved grants and maintaining
a current profile on grant recipients;
• Serving as The Jewish Fund's liaison to private and
community foundations and;
• Creating increased visibility for The Jewish Fund
through media releases, through developing public
relations materials, annual reports and through annual
programs and award activities.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience in a
health or human services organization;
• Demonstrated evidence of strong organizational and
oral and written communications skills;
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or
related field.

PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Master's Degree in Business Administration, Social Work
Public Administration or related areas preferred;
• Computer literacy and financial background is preferred;
• Preferred experience in program analysis and
grant review;
• Preferred knowledge of the Jewish community
and/or prior association with community foundations.
