PHOTOGRAPHY BY LINDA RADIN A great jewelry heist occurred at Neiman Nlarcus, but it was all in fun to benefit the Jewish Ensemble Theatre (JET). A $5,000 prize of Stephen Dweck fine jewelry was raffled off along with a New York weekend package and a Detroit dining extrava- ganza. Ironically, actor David Wolber won the jewelry. In his most recent JET role, he played a thug in Conversations With 1.1y Father. More than 500 patrons participated in the evening of intrigue, clue solving, prizes, shopping and dining. Gregory Dweck, a co- designer of his brother's namesake jewelry line Stephen Dweck, attended the event. The clues were theater brainteasers and trivia questions, like who won the most Tony awards or the name of Agatha Christie's hit mystery on an island. Ellen and Jim Labes only struggled a few moments with the JJ1' Fair Lady questions. If the players need some help to unravel the clues. JET volunteers aided only when the players told the volunteer a joke. The volunteers even wore a button instructing players to tell them a joke for help. "The crowd really enjoyed figuring out the clues, and the enthusiasm escalated into sales for Neiman Marcus," said Audrey Edelheit, sales associate on the designer couture third floor and JET volunteer usher. Theater buff Julie Yolles helped write the clues for this benefit and the last one. "It's such a creative event, that there's literally something for everyone — whether it's shopping, eating, schmoozing, clue solving, or just enjoying the live music and casual party atmosphere." — Carla Schwartz 1.
