The Jewish Community Center in
Oak Park's Jewish Life and Learning
Department will offer classes for
adults and children this winter.
Elementary Hebrew for beginners
will be taught by Shula Leichtman 7
p.m. beginning Monday, Jan. 8 for
eight sessions.
A photography workshop will be
offered on Mondays 1-2 p.m. and 7-
9 p.m. with Marji Silk. Both begin
Jan. 8 and run for eight weeks. -
Classes on Israel and Zionism will
start 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8 for
eight weeks with Shoshana Ben Ozer.
Israel and its diverse culture and
challenges will begin 1 p.m. Tuesday,
Jan. 9, for eight weeks.
A creative writing workshop for
adults will begin 8:15 p.m. Monday,
Jan. 8 for eight sessions.
An introduction to Jewish geneal-
ogy will be a one-evening workshop
and can be taken 7-9 p.m. Tuesday,
Jan. 9, or Tuesday, Feb. 13.
An introduction to bead and wire
work will be held 7-8:30 p.m. begin-
ning Tuesday, Jan. 9, for eight ses-
sions.
Simcha dancing for adults will
begin 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9 for
eight sessions.
Needlepoint will begin 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 10 for eight ses-

sions.
