Arthur M. Horwitz, president of
Jewish Renaissance Media and
publisher of the Jewish News, will
be guest speaker at the next
Federation Forum sponsored by
the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit, noon
Thursday. Jan. 25, at the
Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.
Horwitz has been with the
Jewish News since 1986. Starting
his journalism career as a reporter
with the New Haven Connecticut
Register, Horwitz joined the

Baltimore Sun
as research
and market-
ing manager.
He has a
master's
degree from
the Yale
University
School of
Organization
Arthur M Horwitz and
Management.
Actively
involved in the Detroit Jewish
community, Horwitz is a vice
president of the Agency for Jewish
Education and chairs Hospice of
Michigan's Jewish community
advisory committee. He serves on
the boards of many local and
national organizations.
For his counsel and support of
numerous causes, Horwitz has
been honored by Yad Ezra, Jewish
Ensemble Theatre, Michigan
Jewish AIDS Coalition and
Detroit Friends of ALYN
Hospital/Jerusalem.
The luncheon program,
chaired by Leo D. Maxbauer, is
one of a series presented by
Federation's Community
Outreach and Education
Department to inform and
involve men and women in Jewish
community issues and activity.
Advance reservations are
required by Jan. 19. There is a
$25 charge for the dairy lunch,
with a kosher meal provided on
request with payment.
