Havdalah
Rocks
The beat picked up at Adam Shalom Synagogue's Havdalah ser-

vice Saturday night as music played an integral part for the
singing of "Mah Tovis" and "Oseh Shalom, among other songs.
Clockwise from top: Sophie Steinbock, 2, of Royal Oak gets a
close look at the performers, Youth Education Director Elissa
Berg (vocals), Rabbi Jay Strear (vocals), Cantor Howard Glantz
(guitar and vocals) and Rabbi Daniel Nevins (percussion and
vocals). Cindy Weingarten and daughter Erin, 4, of Bloomfield
Hills watch. Alan Blau of West Bloomfield introduces son
Taylor, 2 to the "wine" (grape juice) portion of the ceremony.
