Nicole Erin Marsch will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
Dec. 9, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
Nicole is the daughter
of Michelle and
Steven Marsch and
sister of Scott and
Adam. Proud and
excited grandparents
are Eileen Bluestone,
Louise and Melvin
Marsch and Leonard Silber. She is also
the granddaughter of the late Sydney
Harold Bluestone. _
Nicole is an honor student at
Orchard Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield. She takes tap, jazz and bal-
let and enjoys playing the piano, music,
computers and spending time with fam-
ily and friends. As part of her mitzvah
project, she participated in a Havdalah
service with residents of a Jewish
Association for Residential Care facility, .
followed by an ice cream social. Nicole
also volunteered at the Fleischman
Residence, dancing with the residents.
She contributed to Yad Ezra and Jewish
Family Service.

Jenna Rachel Nusholtz participated in a
bat mitzvah service at Masada in Israel
on July 17. Her cele-
bration will continue
as she is called to the
Torah at Temple
Emanu-El on Friday,
Dec. 8. She is the
daughter of Roz and
Neal Nusholtz and
sister of Benjamin.
Proud grandparents are Jack Graff and
Shirley Nusholtz. Jenna is also the
granddaughter of the late Bernice Graff
and the late Phillip Nusholtz.
Jenna is a seventh-grade honor stu-
dent at Norup Middle School in Oak
Park, where she plays basketball and
flute. Other interests are her friends, her
pets and playing goalkeeper for her soc-
cer team.
Jenna's mitzvah projects included vol-
unteering at an animal shelter and
working at Yad Ezra, where she pack-
aged and distributed food.

Adam Bradley Neff will celebrate his
bar mitzvah at Temple Israel on Friday,
Dec. 8. He is the son
of Jodi and Dr. Kevin

His hobbies include skiing, soccer,
coin collecting and computers.
Among his mitzvah projects, Eric vol-
unteered for Meals on Wheels and
donated to Camp Catch-a-Rainbow.

Dorina Rose Shayne will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
Dec. 9, at Congregation B'nai Moshe.
She is the daughter of Ruth and Joel
Shayne and the sister
of Benjamin. Dorina's
proud grandparents
are Naomi and
Dennis Bahcall and
Sheila and Ken
Shayne. Her great-
grandparents are Rita
and Lewis Marks.
Dorina attends
O.E. Dunckel Middle School in
Farmington Hills, where she is a mem-
ber of the school chorus and student
council. She also participated in planti-
ng the school's peace garden: As part of
her mitzvah projects, Dorina worked
with the Social Action Committee at
the synagogue to feed the homeless. She
is also a teacher's aide with the kinder-
garten class in the Learning Is Family
Education program at the synagogue.
Dorina loves to sing and has spent
many sessions with Nancy Gurwin as
part of an acting class at the Jewish
Community Center. She also sang to
the seniors at Fleischman Residence.
Dorina is a member of Teen
Connection, Kadima and the Young
Judaea youth movement. She spends
part of each summer at Camp Young
Judaea in Waupaca, Wis.

Chelsea Smith became a bat mitzvah
on Saturday, Dec. 2, at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek B'nai Israel. She is the
daughter of Barbara and Levi Smith
and sister of Noah and Asa. Proud
grandparents are Eli
and Estelle Brown and
Robert and Betty
Smith.
Chelsea is a sev-
enth-grade honor stu-
dent at Bloomfield
Hills Middle School.
Her hobbies include
water and snow skiing,
wakeboarding, basketball, diving,
America On Line and being with
friends.
Chelsea found it meaningful to
distribute food at Yad Ezra with her
dad for one of her mitzvah projects.
